Dominic “Dom” Zagara was born in Cleveland, Ohio and developed type 1 diabetes at 23 months. Since then, he worked to find success at nearly everything he tried. As a child, Dom was a perennial all-star in little league baseball and CYO basketball. As he grew older, Dom gravitated toward intellectual competitions. Among his favorites were Model United Nations, Mock Trial, and Lincoln-Douglas style debate. As a top Model UN delegate from his high school, Dom felt the need to give back. Since then, he used his entrepreneurship to create his own summer camp for MUN cleverly dubbed SumMUN.
